Data Handling Summary

This Summary is a simple overview for transparency. It does not replace the Privacy Policy. We decide how account-holder data is used for our service; for some customer details entered by a shop, the shop is mainly responsible.

• Identity — name, phone, optional email, photo
• Shop — shop name, address, optional GSTIN, optional UPI ID, products, stock, orders
• Technical — device and security logs needed to run the service
• Location — GPS or PIN when you use nearby-shop or delivery checks
• Saved address — only if a customer chooses to save it
• Media — product photos you upload
• Payments — plan payment references through Cashfree (not full card or UPI PIN); product orders are cash on delivery or pay at shop

• Account creation and secure login with a one-time code
• Stock, billing, sales counter, reports, and shop pages
• Collecting LocalShopWala plan fees
• Order and account messages
• Security and legal compliance
• Optional writing suggestions when enabled

• Consent — optional features and marketing
• Contract — providing the service you signed up for
• Legal duty — tax, accounts, and lawful requests
• Legitimate need — security and service improvement

• Cashfree Payments — plan billing
• Phone login partner — one-time login codes
• Image hosting — product photos
• Map and India Post PIN services — address / PIN lookup
• Email and SMS partners — service messages
• Optional writing partners — when writing tools are used

• Secure connections between your device and our servers
• No storage of CVV, UPI PIN, or net-banking passwords
• Controlled access for shop owners and staff
• Monitoring and response for suspected misuse

• Active account data — while the account is open
• Tax and invoice records — up to eight (8) years where required
• Logs — typically twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) months
• Closed accounts — removed from live systems within about thirty (30) days, subject to legal holds

• Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer
• Withdraw consent for optional uses

Data is mainly processed in India. Some partners may process limited data elsewhere under contracts required by Indian law.
