Cancellation & Refund Policy

LocalShopWala is a digital software platform for local shopkeepers. This Policy applies to fees paid to LocalShopWala for:

• Software plans (Free, Monthly, Yearly, or other published plans)
• Extra AI credit packs purchased for writing or product-suggestion features

LocalShopWala plans and AI credit packs are digital software services. Once Cashfree confirms successful payment and your paid subscription is activated, or your AI credits are added to your shop balance, the fee for that purchase is final and non-refundable.

• No refund if you later change your mind, stop using the software, or close your shop
• No refund for unused days remaining in a Monthly or Yearly period
• No part-period or pro-rata refund if you move to the Free plan after activation
• No refund for unused AI credits after they have been credited to your account
• No refund because you did not use writing suggestions, or because suggestions were not useful to you
• No refund for dissatisfaction with features after the paid plan or AI credits have been activated
• Cancelling a plan only stops future renewals — it does not refund amounts already paid for an activated period or for AI credits already added

Extra AI credits are a prepaid digital purchase for optional writing or product-suggestion tools. The same refund rule applies as for plans.

• Once payment succeeds and credits are added to your shop balance, there is no refund — including for unused credits
• Using or not using credits after activation does not create a refund right
• AI credits are not cash, are not transferable between unrelated shops unless we expressly allow it, and have no cash value on cancellation
• Refund may be considered only if money was received but credits were not added to your balance (stuck or failed payment, duplicate debit, or similar cases under Section 6)

You may cancel a paid LocalShopWala plan at any time from account or billing settings (where available) or by writing to support@localshopwala.com.

• Access to paid features continues until the end of the billing period already paid
• We do not currently auto-renew plans — no further Cashfree charge is taken unless you start a new payment yourself
• At the end of the paid period, the account may move to Free plan limits
• Cancellation does not create any refund for the current activated period
• Cancellation does not refund AI credits already purchased and credited
• Cancelling a plan does not delete your account or business records — see the Account Deletion Policy
• LocalShopWala may suspend or close an account that breaks the Terms & Conditions, without refund, except where Indian law requires otherwise

LocalShopWala does not currently accept automatic payment or recurring subscription mandates for plan fees or AI credit packs. Each charge is a one-time payment you start at checkout through Cashfree.

We may introduce auto-renewal or recurring billing later. If we do, we will notify you clearly and obtain any consent required by law before enabling it on your account.

A refund may be given only when money has been received by LocalShopWala (or is held against our Cashfree merchant account) but the paid subscription was not successfully activated, or AI credits were not added to your balance, or the charge was clearly wrong. Typical cases:

• Payment stuck or failed on the checkout screen, but your bank or UPI still debited the amount and LocalShopWala received or retained that amount without activating the plan or adding AI credits
• Duplicate payment for the same plan period or the same AI credit pack order, where one payment already activated or credited and the extra amount was also received
• Cashfree or bank confirmed success to us in error, money was credited, but the plan was never activated or AI credits were never added after our verification
• An unauthorised charge on your payment method is reported promptly with reasonable proof, and the paid plan or AI credits were not activated for your account

The Free plan has no subscription fee. No plan refund applies. Paid plan upgrades and AI credit pack purchases follow this Policy once payment succeeds and the purchase is activated or credited.

Where a refund is approved under Section 6, it is processed through Cashfree Payments to the original payment method. Your bank or UPI app may take five (5) to fourteen (14) business days to show the credit.

Refund timelines on our side start after we verify the payment status with Cashfree and approve the request. Delays caused by banks, card networks, or UPI providers are outside our control.

Tax invoices for plan fees or AI credit packs, where issued, remain subject to applicable GST and tax rules. Any adjustment required by law will be handled through proper accounting entries.

Orders placed on a shop’s online page are a contract between the customer and that shop. LocalShopWala only provides the software to capture and manage the order.

• Customers may request cancellation while the shop’s order status still allows it
• After the shop accepts, partly accepts, prepares, or dispatches an order, customer cancellation may be restricted — contact the shop promptly
• Shops may reject, partly accept, or cancel orders from their dashboard and should give a clear reason where required
• Online product orders are currently cash on delivery or pay at shop. LocalShopWala does not hold customer money for product sales, so any cash already paid must be settled directly with the shop
• LocalShopWala is not liable for stock shortages, changed item lists, delivery problems, or payment disputes on these orders

LocalShopWala is not a marketplace and does not refund product sales. Shop owners must:

• Publish clear return and refund rules on their shop page
• Handle customer refund requests promptly and fairly
• Follow the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 where they apply
• Arrange any money return through their own cash, UPI, or store-credit methods

If money was debited but your paid plan was not activated, or AI credits were not added to your balance, write to us within thirty (30) days of the debit with:

• Registered mobile number and email (if any)
• Cashfree order or transaction reference, UPI/bank reference, and amount
• Whether the purchase was a plan or an AI credit pack
• Date and time of the attempt
• Screenshot of the debit or failed payment screen
• Clear note that the subscription was not activated or AI credits were not added

Please contact support@localshopwala.com before raising a dispute with your bank or card issuer. If your subscription was activated or AI credits were added against a successful payment, a bank dispute does not create a refund right under this Policy. Disputes raised without contacting us may lead to temporary suspension while we investigate. False or fraudulent disputes may lead to permanent account closure and recovery of costs where the law allows.

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Digital software plan fees and AI credit pack fees that have been successfully paid and activated (or credited) are non-refundable as stated above. Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory Indian law.
